    LiVE, the band

Anybody listen to LiVE? If you don't you're missing some of the best music every concocted by human minds.

They are going to be in Jackson, MS on May 5 for a crawfish boil. If anyone's going, let me know, I WILL be there!

They will follow that show up in Birmingham, AL on May 6 for yet another crawfish boil. I will have to miss that one. ;)

Yep. They've done 4 albums since then, and are about to release their seventh album, "Songs from Black Mountain". From what I understand, they have been opening for Nickelback the last while.

They without doubt are my favorite band of all time. There are some bands that make music that you just listen to. There are bands that make music that you dance to. There are bands that make music that you make love to. There are bands that make one hit wonders. There are bands that make background music. And THEN, there are a very select few bands, Pink Floyd being another prime example, that actually are able to transport you through their music, to take you places outside of where you are. That is a rare thing indeed, and LiVE does it for me like nobody else.

          Discology:
          Mental Jewelry
          Throwing Copper
          Secret Samadhi
          The Distance to Here
          V
          Birds of Pray
Songs from Black Mountain: release date-April 11, 2006.

Genre would be Alternative, original alternative that is. They hit big about '93, at the forefront of the "Alternative" movement led by Nirvana and Pearl Jam and the like.

I loved them during the Throwing Copper days and before that, havent bothered listening anymore, as most bands tend to start sucking ass after a few years
