Tire Rack Not Shipping to AUS :(

    Hi Massimo,

Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we are no longer allowed to export the Dunlop ZII's outside of the US. Other tire brands on the do not export list are as follows:
    Bridgestone
    Toyo
    Yokohama

As such, I cannot quote the tires you requested. Sorry for the bad news! If there is another tire that is not restricted list, I would be more than happy to quote!

So yeh that sucks the tires are almost double the price here, and it is not tire rack it is the tire companies trying to make and extra buck because they know prices in AUS are over inflated. End Rant!

Would having a US person get them and ship them to you be cheaper than buying them there?

Yeh my last set of dunlop zII 225/45/16 cost me $950AUD shipped from tire rack before they put a hold on it. To buy them here I would be looking at $1180AUD plus shipping from Melbourne as I am in Adelaide. I would probably be looking at $1300 after shipping from Melbourne.

But a mate of mine was looking at 245/40/17 and they were quoted $2600 for a set of 4.

I've never shipped out of country before but I'd be willing to help out. You can have them shipped to me (or anyone) and just send them a prepaid postage slip to slap on and drop off at ups/fedex/whatever else

I can get tires at cost through my Uncles shop. I'll get you a price and handle shipping them for you.

No one should pay the price of a used car for tires. Total BS. Shoot me a PM for your address and I'll help you.

This is awesome and I agree with you 100%, but by doing this you may be violating parallel import restrictions. I doubt anyone would care for a one off situation, but I wouldn't make a habit of it.

All three brands are Japanese so does Australia have a trade embargo or tariffs on Japanese tires to protect domestic brands.

I was thinking that, my thoughts are to ship them in a pair, one package to him and one to his parents or something. I am just trying to help, I know how hard they have it and I do not know why people still live there.

I have shipped fully dressed engines, tons of other big items and even out of state. Tires are easy to ship.

So if he wants to I will do what I can to help. I know I fuck with people on here, but I truly take my time to help others. Just fun to cause a bit of havoc from time to time :)
