    best n/a horsepower:litre ratio?

after doing a little googling, it seems that some f1 cars got up to 267 hp:litre, and it makes me wonder what's possible. (for reference, e30s tend to have a ratio between 50-70 hp:litre). what's the best naturally aspirated horsepower to litre ratio youve heard of?

i dont think youre going to find anything that tops an f1 car

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

fo sho, but i was wondering how high it can go without several million dollars in r&d. after a little more digging, s2000s have 120:1 and a hayabusa sport bike has 142:1.

There are RC cars that have like .25 cubic inches of displacment and more then 3HP. They also can spin over 40,000rpm.

um wankel motors can do amazing 200 some odd hp out of a oem 1.3l. someone told me once upon a time that the s2000 has the best specific output in a n/a prodo car.

2 stroke will always win. Hence the outputs of RC cars. With fewer parts they can spin faster and have less loss in the mechanics. Rotary is the next best thing.

I didnt address reliability. Anyone who owns an old 2 stroke chainsaw knows what im on about.
