I've ridden with plenty of people that think that just because they are in a group, that they can get away with whatever the fuck they want. Mob mentality. That is exactly what I see here posted by the very same pack of dipshits depicted in the videos. Quads, bikes without plates, hooliganism and asshattery. They were a gang of roving badasses fueled by mob mentality.

Go ask your local cop or your insurance adjuster if you have "right of way" if you choose to enter the lane of a vehicle, steer in front of it with approximately 4 feet of clearance and slam on your brakes.

The cop will call you an idiot and your insurance adjuster will call the office to make sure they drop coverage on you.

These guys were asking for it. While I still haven't seen anything about what initially provoked the conflict. Them surrounding the SUV, boxing him in and brake checking the driver, they were looking for conflict and they found it. My idiot friends used to do this on their road bikes. They would coerce people into situations where it made them look aggressive towards cyclist then try to pull them out and fight. It was ridiculous and I stopped riding with them.

Here's a bunch of videos from the same ride prior to the event. These guys weren't out for a leisurely cruise obeying laws. They were blocking intersections, splitting lanes (illegal in NY), running lights, riding on sidewalks, cutting people and generally riding like idiots.

I don't think anyone was right in this situation but I can't blame the SUV driver one bit for fearing for his family and getting the hell out of there no matter what or who was in front of him.

Yeah we have that here for all the hipsters... its called Critical Mass. A huge pain in the ass if you are trying to get around town during this. They don't care for shit.


As to the link you posted with the other videos. Yeah there defiantly some riders that needed to be ticketed and or removed from the ride. The 4 wheelers and dirt bikes on streets show clearly that there was no respect to others on the road. The one driving on the wrong side of the street, should have gotten hit. And would have deserved it.

going back to the video with the accident etc... I am curious to see just what provoked the riders to slow down the SUV. Something happened before the video started that provoked these guys.

Actually, in California if you rear end someone it is your fault no matter what for not maintaining a safe distance. There was once an accident in front me and I slid into one of the cars...it was deemed my fault. This is not to say the law isn't flawed because it is and scam artists have been doing this for years but thats the law.
