    Bought a black panther.

Yup bought a 2003 Ford panther chassis Crown Victoria LX sport as a daily. I'm sure many of you would hate a Crown vic but for me it fit into my life perfectly. The reason? Full frame, v8, RWD, 18 city 26 hwy, outstanding reliability, shear comfort and power. This is the rare LX sport model equipped with sport suspension, more hp, floor shift console, duel exhaust, 17" 5 spoke wheels, blacked out trim and more. Purchased for $3000 with just over 100,000 miles. I had custom exhaust work done the second day owned and this thing sounds nasty.

I agree the hp numbers on paper are not impressive but driving and passing power is really incredible. The mpg is what really sold me. A 4100lb full chassis car getting 18 and 26 is great. I guess that's why law and government agencies used them for over 15 years.

Shoulda held out for a Marauder

jj, I'm terribly jelly...I've always wanted one, but the GF seems to think it's too big

Aside from that, I would have no objections over buying one tomorrow

I need one. That is about $600 more than I spent on a replacement DD, I'd have got one of these in a second had one been around.

Be prepared for everyone in front of you to slow down

Also, check to see if the thermostat and intake manifold is not plastic. If it is upgrade to the aluminum one. If not you'll have coolant everywhere in a few hundred more miles.

What tires are you running on your fox?

Head gaskets and intake was replaced along with timing guides, chain tensioners, head bolts etc was done a few thousand miles ago.

                              Bad ass. I've had two P71 Crown Vics, a 2000 and 2001.

                              I want another!
