    Xbox One VS PS4

I've always been an Xbox guy myself, but the recient graphics news as concerned to COD Ghost have me wondering if I should switch sides to Sony.

If you haven't heard, the developers of COD Ghost have decided to run the game in 1080p on the PS4, and in 720p on the Xbox One, stating that the Xbox One simply cannot handle 1080p at 60fps like the PS4 can.

Coming originally from the PC platform to the console world, graphics has always been big to me, so it's got me stumped on what decision to make. Also I've always thought that the entire experence is better on the Xbox as far as players go, probably because you have to pay for gold which keeps some players away from it, and creates a better online experence.

Sway me one way or another guys!

id still go with the xbox as a player console. Sure u get used to the PS platform, but I'll still turn to the xbox. Im a PC gamer too so what I turn too when I want 1080p 60fps. What killed me with the PSN network was when they were hacked and down for basically half a year..

          Who gives a shit.

Look, to be able to see the difference in 720p versus 1080p, you'd need to be sitting like 3 feet away from the TV at all times. That's assuming you've got a TV that does 1080p at 120Hz or greater. I dont know abotu you, but when I'm whizzing through a map in CoD, I dont stop and compliment the pixel size.

You think just because they revoked it for now its not going to happen? Microsoft has done it before and it will happen again, look at the failure that is Live for windows. They will say they wont do these things, then come after Christmas, oh look a patch, I wonder what this is.... BAM, DRM EVERYWHERE.

I've first had a Ps3, then found forza and bought a 360. It shit the bed and I sold my ps3 to buy another 360. Safe to say this time around I'm getting the Ps4 because i'm tired of M$.

Not always true. If your screen is big enough the difference between 720p and 1080p is readily apparent. I cannot sit back far enough in our home theater to not be able to tell the difference and if I could the room would be much larger than the average home theater.

As for the new systems I doubt I'll get either right out of the gate, I did that with the 360 and got bit by the RROD, and the PS3s are working just fine for the few games I'm not running on the PC.

That's why the overall experience of an xbox is better IMO... You have to pay to get online, so it stops most who aren't into gaming from being online.

Very true. I play on a 32" TV and it won't make too much of a difference.

You have to pay for PSonline now too, and I don't think that's true about "those who aren't into gaming" because you have people utilizing a bunch of console features that aren't related to gaming like netflix and such, which require a membership like XBL and PSonline respectfully.

I'm just sticking with my 360 til it gets pushed out of date, then pulling the trigger on a nice 1080p TV + a PS4.

I sold my 360 when I first found out about the one so I could get top dollar for it. Once the one is released, the 360 is going to become a doorstop like the old 360s and PS2s

Not always, if you are into FPS the smaller size= faster frame rates/less screen drag. I used to play Halo 3 competitively on a professional level. I use a 27" LED gaming monitor that has a 1ms.

Some pros I know still use a rear projection TV due to zero lag. Sure some games do not really matter like GTA, Splinter cell etc. But others like Halo, COD and GOW really make a competitive gamer better with a smaller TV/Monitor. You play 2' away from the screen and destroy.

The MLG events use a 24" with 1ms and 144hz.
