Xbox One VS PS4

Not always, if you are into FPS the smaller size= faster frame rates/less screen drag. I used to play Halo 3 competitively on a professional level. I use a 27" LED gaming monitor that has a 1ms.

Some pros I know still use a rear projection TV due to zero lag. Sure some games do not really matter like GTA, Splinter cell etc. But others like Halo, COD and GOW really make a competitive gamer better with a smaller TV/Monitor. You play 2' away from the screen and destroy.

The MLG events use a 24" with 1ms and 144hz.

You think just because they revoked it for now its not going to happen? Microsoft has done it before and it will happen again, look at the failure that is Live for windows. They will say they wont do these things, then come after Christmas, oh look a patch, I wonder what this is.... BAM, DRM EVERYWHERE.

You think Sony isn't the exact same thing? They played the hype flawlessly at launch and told everyone that there was no DRM of any sort. Then a day or two later they made a quiet press release stating that it only applies to in-house titles, and that 3rd party developers could do whatever they wanted with DRM, up to and including limiting used games / trading.

Sony gets mad credit for seizing the marketing opportunity at launch. MS dropped the ball hard there and should hire a new marketing department. They managed to barely mention any of the pro's of the stuff they proposed and seemed to just focus on the stuff that people were going to hate. All they had to do was say, "You know about the Steam model? We're going to that, with optical media as a secondary distribution option." Instead they stuck their foot into their mouth and confused everyone to the point of anger.

It must be different over in the states. I used to run a 360 but gave up due to the excessive amount of kids playing online. Used to annoy the crap out of me when your in the lobby and all you hear is MUM THEIR PICKING ON ME! or some crap like that. Swapped to the ps3 and never looked back. Network is quicker, easier, and less bullshit on it.

I'd have to disagree, while the Play Station controllers have their place, the Xbox controller is made for FPS games

I plan on getting the PS4 about 6mos after they release it after they work out any of the bugs n the first batch. I sold my xbox after going thru 3 in about 2yrs meanwhile my PS3 has been going strong for about 4yrs now. was thinking about going back but Xbox scared me off with all those regulations they initially put in place, which i'm sure they will still bring back later down the road.

Looking at the specs they are both just about equal to me so it'll come down to what you really want to do with it. When i worked at best buy big gamers/younger crowd usually went with the xbox and the older crowd tended to go with the PS3 mainly i think because of the blu-ray player and free netflix/pandora access. But now that they're even closer, it's a tuff choice.

If your big into online play and a better game selection i say go with the xbox one and get a nice TV to go with it.
