Just don't do it. You never shit where you eat. It's a very frowned upon practice and is unacceptable anywhere. Especially since women have the power in workplaces. All it takes is one bad day and she can get your ass fired for looking.

I've done it once thinking nobody would figure it out but they all did. thank good ness my boss was cool and so was the VP. However after speaking with VP we both called it quits. I've seen things go sour numerous times.

I want to say yes but just don't. It will likely backfire.

Did it once, she was a Psycho. We played 'insert sexual metaphor of your choice' for 3mos, was fun but not worth the trouble thereafter. And then I had to see her everyday, was hard to keep my private life private from her after that.

Seriously though, do not do it. If you plan to be at this company for a while, keep it in your pants. At the least it is unprofessional and possibly career limiting. More than likely, you could end up fired for harassment when the fun ends and she is upset. Men are always the ones to go because PCness has defined us as the HR liabilities in these situations.

Or things don't work out, shit's awkward, and you have to sit in the same room with her for 8+ hours a day. If it's a bad breakup you have no idea what she might say or do and ruin your career as well.

I've done it twice...

First girl was crazy but I was lucky enough that they sent her back to the Minnesota office, so no harm no foul.

Second one has been my GF for over a year now, and I couldn't be happier. That said, I do travel 50%+ of the time for work, so its not like I see her in the office all that much.

Most places have pretty progressive HR policies regarding relationships in the work place, as long as she doesn't report directly to you, you minimize chances of there being a conflict of interest.

My uncle was dating a 20 year old that worked for him when he was 55(Pimpin since been pimpin). Luckily she's not cray cray and her dad never found out so it was good for them.



My advice is not to do it, playing where you work could end up disastrous a lot easier than it turning out good.

Been there, done that. Not the best idea when things went south, maybe just because she turned out the have a mad crazy streak so never knew what she would do. Given it didn't get around my office much at all as most people thought I was still happily married when it was going on even though I had been divorced for like 6 months plus.
