When my wife was 7 days past due, they "swiped her cervix" and she went into full blown labor within 24 hours. Honestly man, just keep your OB on speed dial and be patient. If she starts to feel that something is wrong, go to the hospital and raise fucking hell. Don't let them push you around, it's your child and wife at stake.
BTW, anyone noticed the OP hasn't posted in a while? Maybe a good sign? If so, good luck and congrats man! Your life will never be the same. Is it better or worse? Depends on the day...Comment

Sorry I haven't checked in for a while. Spent the day walking sears while waiting for tires to be mounted on her car, which they fucked up and thought I wouldn't notice a 2 year old valve stem left in with a new cap. Also incorrect wheel weights, smh.
Oh, right, the baby. She is having strong contractions now but we aren't sure if its the real deal yet. Good news is the hospital has excellent WiFi so I will give live updates from the scene when the time comes. For now though were at home and I'm doing the good husband thing. Massage, draw up a warm bath, ect.

My wife went a few days past with our 1st daughter, it was horrible, as she was bent on doing it drug free, so no epidural. Only to do the typical female thing and change her mind, it was too late to get it setup, so they gave her some strong painkillers and that made her loopy. Then she went 15 days past with our 2nd daughter, we went out to the hospital on a Friday night (day 13) to see if they'd induce her, but they said no and to let it run its course. She went into full blown labor Sunday evening, about 2 hours later we had a chunky little girl in our hands. The 3rd one was a scheduled induction, went to the hospital at 6am, had her before noon. Your wife's body will let her know if something isn't right, my wife's aunt was an OB nurse for many years and told us that the baby will make it's arrival when ready.

Well, back to the waiting game.
I am now back at my Apartment with the dog, ready to head back to work in the AM unless anything changes.
Worst case scenario they will break her water on Friday, and wait. If she doesn't pop within the 24 hour window, we will have to go with pitocin.
