Fuck don't get me started on homemade goodies. My sister is the queen of baked goods. Between the pounds of christmas cookies, fudge, and puppy chow, fuuuuuuuuuuu. I need to start running again. I've been in a food coma since thanksgiving.

so far though it been a good Christmas, I am at home for it so thats a blessing in it self.

Well didnt do too bad on the gift side of it all either. Got the usual various gift cards and cash from all the extended family. Da Wifey got a few new "outfits" for me to unwrap the gift that keeps on giving ;) . Got a new knife sharpening set up I have been wanting for a while to help correct minor free hand sharpening mistakes. She got me good this year though. I have been looking for a nice running original as possible 70's vintage Seiko "jumbo" chronograph for a while now, that is priced realistically and not 2-300 over like most that come up on the big auction site. Well I had stumbled on to one but was debating on it for a little while, and when I had finally decided that I was going to pull the trigger it was gone already. AGGGGHHHHHHHHH I was disappointed and mad at myself for not just jumping on it ..... Well a day or so latter while checking on balance's in the ol checking account, I see a Pay Pal draft that I didnt remember making and nothing showed in the Pay Pal we always use. Well turns out she had used her old Pay Pal (which I had totally forgotten about) to snag this thing from under my nose. She would have gotten away with it too if I had not checked to see if my vacation check had deposited yet. It should be here tomorrow though and I feel like a little kid waiting for santa

But the reality of it all is I have some of the best gifts anyone could want, I have a great understanding and tolerant wife, good family on both sides, everyone is healthy, gainfully employed and all doing better than in recent years past, a great dog, and a wonderful place to hang my hat and call home ........................................ Really cant ask for much more than that

money for car parts, a few flannels, plain T's, and wool socks. the only complaint i have, is i received way more than i gave especially when i told family not to. and that makes me feel foolish.

i have no idea what i am doing with my life

It's a 79 320i 5 speed. Bought it off my buddies dad, the original owner.

Sex, plus a Christmas Eve BJ. A new wedding ring (lost mine at Reudi Resevoir this summer), and a proper tool box. Thankful for all that!

                  But anywho:

Shirts and hoodies, from brands I don't like
Tools that I probably won't use (I hate working on anything).
                  Socks
                  Bathroom towels
A disc for disc golf (wtf mom)
2 RC helis from different people (not interested)
flannel PJs (I don't wear flannel PJs)
                  and of course, the Uggs.

I got a DSLR and a wallet for myself, but otherwise my christmas was pretty shitty. I'd honestly rather have gotten nothing.
I have to say, being broke this year and spending Christmas day alone has made me so grateful I'm not this kind of person.

And be grateful at the very least, that you still have a mother.

Best gift I've ever received. 89 325ix. 13x,xxx miles. Been sitting for years, needs little to be on the road again, and we got it for almost NOTHING. Everything works, too. My best friend and mom went in and got it for me!

Merry Christmas! Now time to spend all my Christmas cash on parts.

Guess I'm at the point in my life where it really don't need anything, so that's what I asked for. Not that I'm spoiled, but just mid-aged and happy with what i have already. Got messages/ texts/ calls from my best gal and dude friends on the planet, so that rocked.
Did get a few material things: 6 new t-shirts ( mine all have ratty collars) 10 dollar coffee card, warm work gloves for winter yard work, some cute little iphone holder my daughter crocheted. Asked my wife if she got me anything, make it an experience rather than an item. So she got us a couple nights in SunRiver ( Bend, OR) and the in-laws got me three days of skiing to go with. But have food, a roof over my head, and my health, so I'm grateful for all of that very much.

I got this cool T from my dad. Not sure if he designed it and printed it up as he has done in the past, or if he bought it some where. I love it.

Also got two cool books on automotive sheet metal work, and traditional timber house framing from him.
Got my GF a Vitamix that she has been asking for for a year. She was super excited! Made me happy.

Got a sweet new vise for the garage! The dude on here that sold his RX-8 and dumped the cash into a dope alpine E30 (COTM I think) mentioned it in his build thread.
