Right now they're running the E90 320i, they even have a homologation special out now for it in Europe - a limited production 3 series with a high reving, race built 4 cyl with extra bodywork.

for sure DTM has become boring. I went to the Nurburgring race last year and it wasnt all I had hoped it would be. Maybe it was because I made myself believe that watching Opels and Audis would be the same as people watched the M3s and 190 E in the 80s but it wasnt. I saw 2 exapmles of the 80s Merc DTM cars but not a single e30 M3. I was kinda bumed out about that but hey like Charlie said WTCC is were its at right now for BMW. And hopefully 10-20 years from now down the road, people will be drooling and dreaming over the e90 320i like we (or at least I do) over the e30 M3s.

Um, BMW isn't the cream of the crop in any racing? You know they won the WTCC, right?
