What do you have going for you and what is your biggest current fear

So let's play a game since we're all just one big, dysfunctional family here.

First, briefly describe one thing that you have going for you like: "I just got a promotion" "I just got engaged" "I finished my motor swap"

Then briefly describe your current biggest worry like: "I just lost my job" "My woman just left me" "I need to swap my motor"

No judgement, no pissing matches, this is a big old gay feeling sharing thread

    I guess I'll start.

The biggest thing I have going for me is I'm expecting to go to college for aircraft maintenance in Sept.

My biggest worry is that I'm starting to become an alcoholic.

i hope you dont become an alcoholic, unless you just dont care and like drinking.

i recently started driving tow trucks for my boss and i do like it. but its not the thing that makes me happy in life. id rather go to school and be a certified mechanic.

my biggest worry is that ill end up living in michigan the rest of my life after being in the pnw for a few years and experiencing how awesome the west coast is.

i have no idea what i am doing with my life

      On the up side;
I live on a "newish to me" small farm that should allow me to be nearly self sufficient with some work, time, and a little money. my family is healthy and mostly happy.
also I have a company flying their VP of sales in to present me with a Job offer next Wednesday...it has been a 2.5 month hiring process, and another company that wants to interview me next week as well. which is good because...

Biggest fear... I have irrational fear that they will change their mind and I wont get the offer...I have been out of work since June 4th 2013

Fuck I hope this year goes better

at the age of 42, i was just married for first time this last april. she is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. i have never been happier in my entire life. she and i don't always see eye to eye on everything but we love each other like there is no tomorrow.

biggest fear: i have been applying for jobs with the major carriers. i have already applied to 4 companies and today i applied to a 5th. i am a bit worried they may never call and give me the chance to interview.

upside: I have once again survived a major accident with minor injuries (hit by a car on a crosswalk a week ago, flew 10 feet and walked away)

biggest fear: luck will run out...

Upside: Making tons of money working in Northern Alberta right now.

Biggest fear: Putting all this money and time starting my own business that could potentially flop.

I've done some saving for the past year knowing I might end up laid odd.

I did get laid off and it's been great. Now I'm going to finish school while attending flight school.

I'm just worried about being stressed about it all.

                      Good thread.
                      I'm back in school.

I was one of those kids to was pushed to go to college not knowing what I wanted to do. So I had a friend who was doing pharmacy, so I decided I would do it to. Got a job in a pharmacy and hated it. I had to figure out something as I was almost finished with a bs of bio. I applied to medical school at Northwestern and Ohio state (solely because I hadn't missed their deadlines). Didn't get into Northwestern but got into Ohio State. Then decided I didn't want to go. I wasn't the typical poor college student (wasn't rich either) as I was running my own "business" since 20. Fast forward 4 years and I'm still doing it, but finally figured out what I want to do with my life. I want to be a firefighter. Unfortunately becoming a firefighter is probably harder than getting into med school. In Chicago there's pretty much two ways to get a better shot a being called back, either get a degree in fire science or paramedic school. I talked to a bunch of firefighters and researched and being a paramedic is the best way. Now I'm in Paramedic school. My biggest fear in life at this point is that I won't be able to become a firefighter and be lost again.
I want a nice set of smoked MHW's (I know, get it line)

I'm in a good college and should be able to graduate with minimal debt hopefully

But I still need to 5speed swap my E30 and getting the money for that is tough when school takes up so much time.

After being two years removed from performing full time, I'm afraid that I've wasted time and my opera career may be seriously set back.

Got a lot going for me right now, and a lot to be thankful for. A job that I enjoy, (other than long stints away from home) that provides a great living, I have a great wife that is very understanding of both me and my job, When I do get to go home I live somewhere that I love. No debt a decent savings and of course we are healthy

Fears: A situation that puts me in a position where I cant do anything to help someone I care about. Car wrecks, sudden illness, accidents shit like that. And making the wrong decision and losing everything I have worked for and not be able to take of or provide for my family.
