Better than most of Atlanta apparently. You don't have to be an "awesome driver" to know the limits of traction.

Hamilton County (where that picture was taken) is the most sparsely populated county in the Eastern United States. There isn't a traffic light in the entire county. How much do you think it gets plowed?

I played ice hockey in the street. You just can't drive on that, no matter where you are from.

Enough to where it isn't a sheet of ice? The limits of traction don't apply when you are released from work along with 1.8million people then sit in traffic while the slush turns to ice... What part of that storm don't you get? Have you read the news today? Or should I say watched it?

Here's what happens when you actually tell people in Atlanta they don't have to come in during the worst ice storm in a century. See how smart we are? Btw, it's going to be in the 60s on Saturday. We can totally drive in that. In fact, we can do all kinds of things, like ride our bikes in shorts, not get frostbite, not have to shovel snow, not judge an entire city because we have no clue what happens there during the winter.
God, it's like I'm teaching high school.... How much of what i am telling you sinks in? How much research or reading did you do before you brought up the limits of traction? Literally 1.8 million people had no traction..... That's why the fubar in Atlanta happened. Everyone I know in Atlanta tonight is having a wonderful time. It's a god damned party there right now. Why? Because no one is driving anywhere. They are walking on a sheet of ice. How many times can I say that it's a sheet of ice. The entire city is covered in a 1 to 2 inch film made of ice.

Yeah I get it. Atlanta can't drive a car because of the weather and New York can't ride a bike. I guess I'll just drive my car. *shrug*

                Stay safe.

dude, give up. people in atlanta can't drive for shit in the snow, and neither can the people in NC. No one is personally attacking you. I spent 30 minutes driving 2 miles today because dumbasses think the only safe way to drive in snow is going 10mph and taking up two lanes.

Like I said. Atlanta prepared this time. It's awesome. All the bars are open in my neighborhood. People are sledding. I'm in New Orleans right now, so I'm missing it, and I'm actually sad about that. Nathan deal basically gave Atlanta the green light to party the rest of the week.

Holy fuck some people itt take too much pride in being able to do something they've been doing for years better than people who do it never. Stay safe, southerners, I'm hoping this mess doesn't catch you up.

granted a certain amount of snow, will give traction. but there is the perfect amount were it acts like powder wax on a shuffle board.

you get use to it. I dont want to and cant afford to replace my beater, so I drive a little extra slow. even responding to firecalls.

if you think you cant drive on a full sheet of ice, go to a hockey game. they have a vehicle driving on the ice, its called a Zamboni. the vehicle part of it is no different then what you drive on the street.
