    i believe there's probably some serious creep-factor when you visit an old slave plantation in the south, or are generally near their boarding rooms/mass graves/lynching/beating sites. that and the underground railroad.

    most of that which we feel is psychologically self-induced, but i have felt 'off' in some places when i was otherwise cheery and, you know, not being paranoid about ghosts and such.

    Okay, not trying to derail or be a historical revisionist, but I have a hard time believing someone would just up and lynch/beat their slave. Slaves cost a metric shit ton of money, and someone starved and beaten half to death isn't going to be near as effective as a healthy and well fed worker. To me beating a slave seems like buying a brand new sports car then crashing it "just cus brah".
