Since when is lung cancer not a "long-term effect"?

this is true only if yer not smoking it in the conventional manner... ie:vaporizer.
anything that is burning and u inhale is gonna cause lung cancer eventually.

that was a joke. Read it again, and you'll get it.

Okay, so I'm not a good comedian :(

Either way, I don't know if pot will make significant increases in the likeliness of getting lung cancer. Some friends who are fulltime stoners only smoke on average like 3 joints a day. The number obviously fluctuates (usually up) on certain days, but not by all that much.
I think everything is about moderation.

I think it's better than smoking crack though.

Then there's coke. Cocaine is still a wonder drug. I wonder when Canada will decriminalize small posession of coke?

In college, in class regarding the use of drugs, they told us that we were better off doing coke than ecstacy. British Columbians really hate on ecstacy, but we love our weed, and secretly, we love the coke too.

I can't see why, coke is highly addictive and very expensive.

well, hook me up with some of those people then! I honestly feel, that weed is alot less harmful than alcohol! and its legal about 5 hours from me, cont be so bad if one country made it legal- just the U.S. wont know how to tax it. its to easy to grow yourself, so they wont make any money from it. Not that i smoke it anymore(right now) but I will be a pot head lowriding 75 year old man one day.

Yeah it is really interesting when you look at it. Marijuana has been viewed as a really bad thing for so long and so many people have that just embedded in their brains. When, and I do say when, it becomes legal I think it will be somewhat of a culture shock for lots of non-users because a lot of influential, respected and well known people will spill their guts about their own little stint on the drug.
