I love how people are so desperate to find something wrong with pot that they base whole studies on proving that it has a "minor" effect on memory. Just because marijuana users have a slightly worse memory than non-users does not mean it is because of the drug.

With your method of reasoning then anything ever discovered in a scientific experiment means nothing and is apparently not true. No, you missed the whole point of my post. I was just saying that people are so desperate to find something wrong with pot (and they can't) that they are looking for any little negative effect it has. If it has a minor effect on the memory after a long period of regular use then so what? I doubt anybody is going to be dettered by this scientific study. I just see it as a waste of (most likely tax payers) money. And by the way, nothing in science can ever be proven.

EDIT: Ok so the study was in Greece so my tax payer comment doesn't apply to us Americans. My point still stands though.

What if my waiter at The Outback is a stoner and can't remember how I like my steak cooked. He gets it wrong and I punch him in the throat for pissing me off. I'd consider that a seriously negative side effect to losing memory. :D

Funny topic though. One time one of my buddies/coworkers fired up the kart he was working on in the garage and revved it out some, then like FIVE minutes later I asked him "Its kinda smokey in here. Um, Dana, did you fire up that kart?"
