About 8 years too late on that one.

I actually watched my first "drift" event the other day on Speedvision. It was the "formula D" or "D1" or some nonsense from that San Jose street circuit event that CART ran a few months ago.

So, yea, tell me again what makes this shit popular? It was a bunch of tarted up psuedo-race cars making slow speed laps and goosing the throttle on the exit of the turn to get the ass end loose. A few of them would chuck it into the turn sideways, and either stall it or spin it. Whoopee. A whole half-hour of that nonsense.

I always figured "drifting" was pretty lame, but having actually watched it in action, god damn, this shit is gay.
