Pick up the original GISS on DVD, not that godawful Bruckheimer abortion. Pick up "Junkman" as well, also by Halicki. Snag "Vanishing point", as well as Le Mans. Gran Prix is decent, but not on DVD. If you wanna get artsy, pick up "A Man and a Woman", great 60's cannes artsy french flick with lots of sex & racing, can't beat that.

Ronin, Le Mans, Grand Prix, Gone in 60 Seconds (original Halicki's, 1&2), The Cannonball Run, The Gumball Rally (original w/ Raul Julia & Gary Busey), Bullitt, The Driver, The Italian Job (remake and original), Vanishing Point, Speed Zone (80's Cannonball style flick with Eugene Levy), Taxi (original French film), Thunderbolt (Jackie Chan), Two-Lane Blacktop, and last but not least, Death Race 2000.Last edited by Jand3rson; 03-18-2006, 01:22 PM.

After going to a few track days, I'm starting to take autocrosses less like wannabe track days, more like pointless (but still fun) tire-scrubbing drift days.
but anyway, one is a NASA instructor and uses it as practice / to get comfortable with oversteer.
he drifted the entire auto-x course in the rain in his turbo miata and got last place in his class... but didn't lose it and had amazing control the whole time.

The original Italian Job had a really shitty plot IMO, although it had some nice cars (I cry when they wreck the Muria.)
The new Italian Job was a good action movie with great driving scenes, although the revenge-driven plot really does get old.

And the 1 veilside rx-7 is hot.
I'll admit I'll see it just because the professional filming techniques will make the drifting more fun to watch, that is if there's any talent involved behind the camera.
