    might be moving to TX

Hello all, I might be relocating to Sugar land TX in around 8 months. Anyone been there? I'm pumped that its reletively close to the ocean and I am sick of winters. I know its a really general question, but how is it down there? What are the fun things to do? will I have any fellow bimmer fanatics?
    Thanks

Sugarland is pretty nice, right outside Houston.
Texas is ok in the winter when the weather is decent, in the summer I hope you don't work outside. It sucks.

Go from A/C in the car, to A/C in the house.

Hope your commute isn't too far into Houston, traffic is terrible as well.
When I left they were redoing 59, and making highway 10 wider. Probably not close to being completed.

Luckily the office will be in sugarland, so I will not have to commute into the city everyday. I will love having no winters and no damn salt on the roads, we get 1 in. of snow here and they cover every damn road with 2 in. of salt:-(

If your going to be livin' in Sugarland you won't have a problem with things to do, that is one of the more active parrts of town, also there are a shitload of peeps out there that have Bimmers (mostly E36's and E46's, but Bimmer none the less). Brodee is a little further out of town if he lives in Richmond. Traffic on 59 is a bitch and a half in the morning and evenings, but you said that you won't have to worry about that.

What company you goin to be workin for?

Never been there but if you're into tracking you have Texas World Speedway within driving distance (not sure how far exactly). I've checked out the website, there's a road course that runs in the infield of the main banked oval. Around 3 miles per lap in the longest configuation which includes part of the banked oval. Don't know of any other tracks in the area.

That's really the only good road course, there's a shitload of Drag Strips for all the HillBillie's out here though.

TWS is probably 45 minutes to an hour outside of town.

We are building a new warehouse/office outside of houston for our tools/IT program (thats where I will probably be). I know lots of people that work in that office though.

Galleria area, right? That traffic is awful at times.

At times? Try something more along the lines of 24/7/365, but it does get really bad at some times.
