I went to Sugar Land once. A 360modena and a gallardo pulled up at opposite sides of the intersection at the same light. I was going crazy. Nice area ;)

Sugar Land is good, look me up next time you're in town and I can show you around. I'm about 12 miles SW of there but we're up there all the time to eat, etc. That's about as far into Houston as I go anymore. Luckily by the time you move here they will be further on the construction of 59 and traffic won't be so bad.
Hmmm, 8 months, I'll have my house for sale by then. 2500sq' on a full acre in a perfectly nice ghetto :D

Just don't get your hopes up with the "ocean". I moved here 6 years ago and had images of beacutiful beaches and cool places along the coast, unfortunately it's nothing like that along the coast here. We head down to Surfside to visit the beach, but if you want places to go along the water Galveston is about it and that's not much.

There is a place down in San Leon, Top Water Grill, it is awesome and mainly locals and the people from around Clear Lake and Kemah go there, so if you want fresh seafood check that place out when you get here.Originally posted by german gCool, ill hit you up before I go down there. Welcome to Texas!
People up north say it doesn't get that cold. In Texas they say it doesn't get that hot! Welcome to a new world of sensory experiences such as realizing that even your eyeballs are hot. The ambient is just slightly past the E30's A/C capability. Get a monster pusher fan in front of that A/c coil. Down here the A/C is a major part of what car to buy, interior and exterior colors. If I hadn't stolen my Diamonschwarz with black interior I would never have black. Sugarland has Motorsports Ranch. It's a road course country club. $35,000 for a lifetime membership with no dues or fees. Other lesser but still expensive deals. Just show up and race. A wee bit pricey. The Houston Grand Prix (street race) is on May 11-13 with Champ Cars, American LeMans, and Atlantics. Texas World has NASA and SCCA and Porsche Club. TX is not really a hotbed of road and sports car racing but like one of the earlier posts mentioned, it's drag, stock car, and dirt track city. Oh, and the plural of "y'all" is "all y'all"

It was even better when we both lived in Austin. I remember I went to a car club meeting and when I introduced myself people thought I was "that" Jordan.Originally posted by EurospeedTwo Jordans with E30's living in Texas? Oh, the humanity! :D

Actualy Houston Motorsports Ranch is south of Houston in Angleton, about 30 miles from Sugar Land. They will be doing a lot of DE's there this year. BMWCCA is contemplating moving our November DE there instead of TWS.Originally posted by 1991 318isSugarland has Motorsports Ranch.
