Holy cow people. I applaud the impeccable work ethic you all have, but you don't all need to jump down this guy's throat for what to me sounds like blowing off steam. I'm sure he isn't planning on going full stoner mode and pulling D's in all his classes this semester. A simple reassurance of "keep up the hard work, its worth it" would probably be a little more fitting than the assertion that he will end up cleaning toilets. He's got a decent GPA and has a job lined up in a solid field, and is probably just simply feeling worn down from busting his ass for the past 3.5 years.

None of you can understand feeling a little anxious to just be done with the grind once the end is in sight? I'm not trying to be all 'everyone is a valuable snowflake' here, but you guys are piling on a soon to be gainfully employed college graduate with the same ferocity that is usually reserved for the type of moron who speeds through a residential neighborhood and crashes their car into someone's living room.

To the OP: Don't give up just yet. Keep working hard and learning as much as you can. Sure you have a job lined up, but you don't know what can happen, or what other opportunities might present themselves in the next few months.

I can understand that, and I agree that it does come across as immature.

I just think the hate the OP received is a little strong, considering he is at least a college student and presumably will be employed. Again, I'm not trying to come across as overly touchy feely, but some motivation and support seems more fitting than the flaming he received. I know this is r3v, after all, but there are perpetual man-children on here who don't get called out on their antics, while OP makes a rather innocent post about senioritis, and gets slammed.

But seriously, it is not my intention to become a stoner bum. That being said, there is obviously a temptation to let loose a little bit. I don't think I can/will stop caring and just coast through my final semester, but there is certainly the temptation to do so.

R3V, don't fret. I will not become a bum. I will stay the course and maintain, or even improve my GPA.
