Finally got my motherboard last night.

Motherboard all dressed up before I dropped it in.

Case pre graphics card and wiring.

Forgot to take pics after it was all wired up.

But 8.1 is installed. I don't have wifi right now because to wifi adapter I bought goes into the motherboard right behind the graphics card slot, and the graphics card is too large for the wifi adapter to fit. Currently waiting on a 450 mbp/s USB wifi adapter.

I love it so far though.

Out of curiosity, where does the tracking info say your parts originated from? I shipped a lot of those recently, wondering if I touched them lol

Screw wifi. I don't even bother on desktop builds, it doesn't move around enough to justify the loss in speed.

Why did you stick with the stock heatsink? You're going to hate yourself 10 minutes into anything intensive. Go water cooling, or at least a horizontal flowing fan setup with copper pipes.

^ My Phenom 2 x4 975 overheated during stress testing on the stock heatsink. Worthless.

Well my modem is a few rooms away from mine -.-

I'm looking into Ethernet cable routing methods tho. I could go through the ceiling but into the living room my parents would hate that. I think I can wire it to something past the modem tho.

You could also get another router and set it up as a AP. Its what I am doing. I get a way stronger signal

Dont get a watercooler, there is no benefit over a cheaper air cooler. Pantless you dont have an overclockable cpu/mobo IIRC so any after market cooler is completely pointless unless you start having heat issues.

If the noise starts to become a problem because its AMD and sounds like a mini jet, but a Noctua Air cooler, quiet as fuck.

(I have a Corsair H100i and the included fans are junk, the wires are not long enough to route decently, etc, its ok, but not as simple and clean as a smaller air cooler)

Definitely put an SSD on your list, You can pick up a 120gb Samsung or Intel for like $100 -150 if your lucky, and its amazingly fast.

Monitor wise dont skimp, nice monitors are nice, I bought a VG248QE (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B2HH7G0/...l_7vc3ezc0vv_e) and its GREAT for the ~$250 pricetag, instant response time, high refresh rate, color is damn fine for a TN panel. The view angles are also quite fine, i can look from up to 85* from straight on and still read everything.

I agree. Only reason i got an h80i was because newegg had a refurbed one for the same price as a hyper evo+. The fans are so ridiculously loud. Ive got 2 fans in my case that i dont even use, but are there for future add ons. If i turned them all on 100% i couldn't stand it.

No, the heatsink will make an insanely huge difference and will be completely worth it in every sense. The stock amd heatsink is pure garbage. You'll gave a hard time finding a worse heatsink. You'll see temps upwards of 60c easily on a daily basis. Go water cooling, a kit will run you as little as $70 and will keep you below 45'c. A deceng after market air cooled heatsink will keep you under 53'c ish if you can't spring for the watercooling and will run you a fraction of the cost ($25-$40)

My mobo does support overclocking however I'm not too interested it runs just fine for me so far.

I'm gonna get two more fans for the side panel on the case.

If you built your pc you'll probably try to overclock at one point lol. No reason not too, unless you plan to keep the pc for more than 5 years. Yes overclocking does shorten the lifespan of a cpu, but not enough to matter. You probably won't be using the same pc long enough to kill a cpu. Use CPU-Z, Prime 95, and MaxxMem2 for stress testing!

Don't bother with the msi one touch OC/Turbo bs. It's garbage, and unstable from what I experienced.
