Started a little side project. PlastiDip (motorcycle content)

Taking a break from my car to give my bike some attention

Decided to try my hand at plasti dipping. Since I wanted to eventually dip my wheels, I decided the bike was a good way to practice.

Henry, after a small trial and error phase on a small piece, I got a technique down that comes out in a near perfect finish!

Figured out how to smooth out and cover rock chips, pitting and gouges in the surface as well

Looks great but I always recommend adhesion promoter for laying paint or plastidip on any plastic parts for a durable long lasting finish.

I did this to my GSXR a couple years ago. It looked pretty neat but eventually started peeling off in places.

Why not just paint it? I use street-art spray can paints with good results for bike plastics.

              Bike looks nice, though!

Thanks! It's because If I get tired of it, I want to be able to pull it off and sstill have my original color underneath. Basically I want to be able to just pull it off like vinyl and return to original
