I sure hope that is a joke...I used an eraser in CS6, if I wanted to spend the time on it I could have done it right. I go for the lawls with Photoshop ;)
Edit: I tried to download a pic from my phone but keep getting a fail msg.
My kitchen. I also built it from "scratch". The color is Minwax mahogany. Two coats of stain and two coats of satin polyurethane. No offense, but white cabinets are very 1990's. Very dated looking by most opinions.
If I were you, I would take the doors off and replace them with a more contemporary color. Once the hardware is off, it would be easy to sand down the boxes and restrain them.

black cabinets, white counter tops and black appliances I think looks the best.
I don't like SS appliances because they use the cheap brush finish on the SS but most people don't understand what I'm talking about.

Oh you got the laughs including me. Funny stuff.
In the air still. We are going for a more airy open look being in south fl than the heavy dark look. Something like this as we will be going to dark wood floors soon. I know white is hard to photoshop as a lot of the detail from shadows are lost. Anyway that gives us a rough idea.
Having gone through a kitchen overhaul in my house, I've learned some things from the experience which I can pass along.
White cabinets: while this looks nice and 'brightens' everything, white surfaces will show every fingerprint and drop of wayward food or liquid right away. Over time, the grease from fingers will become difficult to remove so you'll always want to keep things wiped down.
Granite surfaces: I love the look of granite in my kitchen, adds a nice upscale finish to things. The downside is that, depending on the color and texture of the finish, you may not see every food spill and overlook it when cleaning. Then, a few days later you'll run your had across the surface and find dried/sticky food. More wiping. Ugh.
Flooring: I did bamboo engineered flooring, looks great and easy to keep clean. Unfortunately the stuff in the kitchen is already showing a few signs of wear (it is the most used room in the house ya know). Stick with tile or a very high quality vinyl (even a wood look) if your budget won't allow for tile.

Paint them white, They are in nice shape and will look great if painted properly by a professional. Apply a quality primer and top coats made for trim/cabinets. I suggest Benjamin Moore Advance base primer followed by Advance top coat (choose your desired sheen).... Have them sprayed with either a HVLP or Air Assisted airless spray rigs, These systems will give you a factory finish.
I have painted many kitchens and high-end homes, I have a Painting company and have been is business for 10 years now.... Ask me any paint related questions if you have any.

If she really wants white consider consider white up top and charcoal/black on the bottom at all? My old house was cream pantry wall, cream uppers and black lowers. looked really good in a country cottage type way.
