Cuba is amazing, the mix from Rojan China is the best, that or Gatecrasher 2002 (the last good mix he ever did).

Here is my partial list (mostly mixes)

Digital Witchcraft - Proton Radio Mix
High Contrast - Essential Mix 4.5.03
      LTJ Bukem - Breezeblock 3.20.00
      LTJ Bukem - Soul Obsession
Mark Farina - Mushroom Jazz 3
Nick Warren - Global Underground 24 : Reykjavík
      Tetris - Nocturne Mt.
Telefon Tel Aviv - Sound in a Dark Room
Way Out West - DJ Set on Annie Nightingale

Trance can pretty much lick my sack. Any techno song with the same tired 1-2 1-2 1-2 beat gets on my nerve in about 5 seconds.
Downtempo is where it is at, and the more "creative" D&B artists who can mix jungle/D&B are at my top.

indeed, that is a hard decision. i had the privelege to see tiesto live and wow, is he amazing. Dieselboy is just so oldschool, u can't help but give respect to him.

Yah, u guys needa stop listening to mainstream anything cuz that stuff will make u stupid :D

Any shit from SHY FX, AK1200, infiltrata, dieselboy, DJ markie, DJ Zinc, DJ Friction, Evol Intent - ALL are awesome DNB DJs

I'd have to agree with whoever sed that listening to dnb continuously will make u go crazy. That's why i listen to it continously.

you should get the 2005 creamfields live set... its pretty good for newer oakenfold.

It does suck that oakenfold has become so mainstream... but he's still my favorite. I was listening to him when techno was considdered strange and completely foreign to the U.S. Go back and listen to his like 1998/1999 mixes... those are the shit. Like delirium/hypnotised (the full mixes, not individual tracks) and who doesn't love tranceport? great studio mix. Rojan china is also solid... I have another mix from china that was done in 99' and it is far better IMO.

Electronic/techno kicks ass. I play a lot of guitar and listen to a lot of accoustic music/classic rock too... somewhat funny i like it so much. I want to get a setup to try my hand at it someday after school is done.

                  who is generally considered "mainstream"?

I don't know the trance / techno genre well enough to elaborate.

HAHA, true. that is why more than 90% of the people who listen to DNB/Trance do drugs. Hence, why they are played at raves.

That has to be everyone's first favorite techno song. I remember that back in middle school.

Umm. .. techno was invented in the U.S.

                              ....in the mid '80s.

Look up Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, and Derrick May. That early Detroit stuff is real good.

it was considdered mainstream in Europe to listen to it, and it still is today. Techno just has not caught on in a mainstream/pop-culture way here.

EDIT: to add, at least not in a formal way.
