Well that's because you weren't banging her! Sorry, I have nothing to contribute here other than you'll have a blast and forget about the expense once you get there.

Got a direct flight last year from SFO and it was $1050, but that was at the tail end of May. My cousin had been watching the prices and as soon as June hit the summer prices were $1500+ If you find something close to $1500 thats direct, take it. Fly on off days, Thursdays are good

I'm a student so I'll use that route and my other friend also said the same thing with the train. Most of all the tickets included landing in Heathrow so taking the train from there wouldn't be a problem but as I remember, flights within Europe are dirt cheap anyways.

Thanks guys, and even if you don't care, I'll keep y'all updated. Finding the cheapest ticket in the heat of summer can help other r3ver's travel plans as well. Again thanks for the input.

Look for cheaper tickets to another country in the eu and then fly into france from there. Flying between eu countries is fairly cheap or take a train so you may be able save some money that way

I think for now I'm getting $1510 best price. I used skyscanner, studentuniverse, cheapo air, kayak, watch dog and picked about every city that made sense to travel to/from and played with dates. Some one suggested travel agent so I contacted one.

San Diego to Paris avg $1550. London, Rome were around $1880. All other regional airports ranged from 1800-2200. The euro star, if you were flexible, was about $93. From Paris to London would make more sense.
It's penny pinchin' time but doable but a month's worth of travel is definitely the other edge of the sword. I'' post the prices I find for trains and other public transportation just in case anyone wants to know.

I'm still young so couch surfing, or Europe's equivalent, and perhaps hitch hiking can happen. Even though hostels can be a good time but also a good place place to 'loose' stuff. There's still a suit for both weddings to account for!

Rock and Roll dude! Haha there definitely was a price for it.
