Very unfortunate that his daughter is deciding to part with these cars on the perspective that her dad lived for cars. However, with that said, I've seen his car collection before and he has ALOT of cars that are in my top 10 list. Alpinas, m3ltw's, cobras, saleens, a gt40...the man had great taste in cars.

Yea it's estimated he had almost 25 mil in assets the car were like 12 mil of it. If I was his daughter I'd keep his favorite cars As a reminder. If I was in the situation the sentimental value would far out way the coin.

Word. Someone I worked with, for the last 15 years, and looked up to, just passed away this month....and watching everything he worked towards is just being shelved, put into storage, or ending and shut down....is gut wrenching. Not what he would have wanted at all. Really sad.

                    But...you know what they say..."Where there's a will....there's relatives!"

                    .

He may have loved the cars, but that doesn't mean she does. I don't blame her for selling them off.

That is a crazy collection for sure, having damn near half your net worth in cars is passion for sure. It's understandable if she is not into cars though, they need to be with someone that can love and drive them like he did.
my dad had his "office" which is really a stand alone building with a machine shop on the top floor and his ham radio station and actual office on the bottom floor. That whole building has remained relatively un touched since his death, and I think it should stay that way for a while at least. Although we did sell most of the airplanes he had, as my brother and I don't have a pilots license. Although I do regret selling the Staggerwing. that thing was fucking boss and he had it restored from the ground up, but he was trying to sell it already so that lessened the hurt for sure.

I would keep a few but sell most, no reason to have that many cars, especially if you don't drive them. She probably also doesn't want to work for the rest of her life.

They could be a very painful reminder of what took him away from her as well.
