That is a great idea, thanks! We are excited to visit as many breweries as we can, and Abita brews some great stuff

That is very true but to do that place right you can spend 2 full days in that place to really take it all in

You can check out the ford/edison estate in fort myers if you end up on the west coast of florida on the way to or from miami. Pretty cool stuff and would round out the experience of the detroit museum.

Unless you have family or friends in Nashua, NH - skip it. Not a great place. up to the Mount Washington Hotel and Resort - enjoy a drink on their deck overlooking the valley/mountain and the Cog railway. Enjoy the trip!

Well I am still in Mount Dora, FL waiting for a water pump. We were supposed to leave last Saturday, hopefully we get to leave this Friday or Saturday. Our schedule is flexible so its not too bad, but it has kind of screwed up the first couple weeks of plans.
Since I've been here for a few more days than planned my old boss had me come back to work running the 980K in the pit. I forget how fun it can be to run heavy equipment when you don't have to do it 50-60 hrs a week.

Also, since I had a little more time before leaving than I thought, I went out and picked up a sweet little dual sport to haul behind the bus. We had this idea a while back but I was running out of time to make it happen. Maybe its a good thing that we have been delayed, now it will be a lot easier to explore the backcountry and small towns where taking the bus is too tight.
The bike is a 2008 Yamaha XT250, all stock and running great. Not real fast but its fine for scooting around the logging roads I plan on checking out, and it sips fuel. I had a local fab shop build a hitch on the back and stuck a rail on it. The shop also added a 2 foot aluminum extension to the ramp since the bus is a bit taller than a lot of trucks. Safe to say I am really excited about this addition. Been awhile since I have had a street legal bike and it sure is fun even if it is small.

Thanks for the tip, we don't have a reason to be there, it was just a good point on the map to show the route. We are hoping to have some input from locals when we get there on places to see and roads to drive on :) and the Cog Railway is definitely on my list!

Suggest replacing the missing covers on the rear turn signals on the bike. I can picture you being harassed by a rural cop for such a minor detail.
"Gee officer, how much will the fine be?"
"Well, son, how much you got on you?"

Give me a shout when you come through the Asheville NC area. I will provide the beverages and you can park at my shop which is just on the border of Pisgah National Park with some great trails to explore on the bike. We also have a really good BMW community.
