Could the moderators implement something like, all new account holders first 5 posts or threads they start have to be reviewed by a moderator before posting? And if it is spam delete their account on the spot and then none of their spam would make it through. You could just review their first post and go from there. Just throwing an idea out there.

Not a bad idea but in reality it could take the moderators just as long (if not longer) than finding and deleting spam.

I think our system works....ish. Trying to clamp down would make more work for the mods. We can do our part in "policing" the site.
