Somewhere on a old backup HD I still have a series of shots I downloaded from BEN. They were of Ove Kvam's brilliantrot 318iS in Norway. Fucking amazing. That, and that blue DTMpower car were the 2 e30s that really clued me in to the scene.

Actually in the first few months that I joined R3v, while I was living in Corvallis, I didn't even realize that Jordan lived a few blocks from me. I invited him up for a cruise to Mary's Peak just as he was packing for TX. Never actually met him.

BEN was really the first E30 specific forum away from the email lists. The "back up" site is still up today but the software doesn't appear to have ever been updated. You can still find posts by Jaffar, Ove Kvam and others on there from as recent as a few months ago. When BEN went down and E30 sport went up, I didn't look back. It looks like Dale Buening's Unofficial BMW forums are still up too. That's a pretty old school site.
