the Xbox team will have to figure out how else to make their machine of interest to an audience beyond hard-core gamers.

What the fuck? That was their whole god damn fucking game plan from the fucking get go. The Xbox One was never directed at "hardcore gamers." They initially created it to be an all in one entertainment system, not a stand alone gaming system.

what they need to do is make the Xbox OS installable like Windows so people can make their own Xboxes but still have live so people can build their own media centers and it cuts down on having to build consoles for them and makes it a fusion of console and pc gaming where u can have sit down 4 person multi-player an also have a dedicated pc.........I can dream can't I?

You do realize that the whole idea behind having consoles with the same hardware/specs is to make it easier for studios to develop and optimize games for said console, right?
