Just bumping this for an update.
Sold the civic the other day, and since it's registration is good until this time next year, I decided to transfer the plates to the Miata.
While I was there, I mentioned the screw up on the title. Well, they simply printed up the original WV title from when I bought the car, and made the corrections no charge to me.
10 points, DMV.
Honda Miata? DMV screw up on title... how shocking :-|

Still have it. Word of advise, never try to sell a Honda. All it attracts are broke, illiterate kids with a sob story looking for a handout.
So the Honda is my backup. A damn reliable one at that, currently using it actually because the FR caliper on the Miata is randomly locking up.Leave a comment:

they do have their advantages. its just too bad they look like a car you would tease your little sister for driving.
what happened to the honda?Leave a comment:

Oh and as for the Miata mistake, I used to hate on them too.
Now that I've driven one for a while, I'm in love. Aside from a severe lack of power, they are pretty awesome.Leave a comment:

This. After waiting the average of two hours to get seen, you just zone out and head for the door.Leave a comment:

They don't do that around these parts lol. They shove the title, tags, and registration in a bag and you run for the door as fast as possible.
I need to get my permanent stickers by the end of the month anyway so I'll address it then.Leave a comment:

Didn't you check the paperwork they handed you to check then hand it back to them?Leave a comment:

Around here if it is a newer title they just scan a bar code at the bottom and scan my barcode on my license and it spits out a new title with all the information. Seems impossible to screw up here.Leave a comment:

Just put an S2K motor in it and throw some honda badges on it. probably less of a headacheLeave a comment:
