LOLOLOL, I'm 20 years old under my parents insurance paying $90 dollars a year for liability insurance under safeco. Might change since I just got my first speeding ticket this year(5pts in PA). Have over the years have you guys seen insurance prices jump/skyrocket right after getting a ticket, Just wondering?Comment

Im at 17.63 a month through Geico full coverage at a 8500 valuation.
Two things get me this rate. 1 - I live in Wyoming, the least populated state in the union. 2- I'm in the Accounting world, so I get one of the lower rates available.Back to my roots

I have Geico as well and was curious about getting a full coverage valuation. Was that tough to do?
I'm at $41 a month (including $5 monthly fee for paying monthly, not by 6 month increments) I have quite the record.

$100 a month for the e34, e46, and Rover. Was $97/month. Went up to $127 after my accident with the touring, then back down to $100 when I turned 25 a month later. I had 3 points before that (1 speeding ticket)1974.5 Jensen Healey : 2003 330i/5Comment

Sorry Mr. Burns, but your insurance rates are NOT awesome.
My '89 touring has an agreed value of $17K, my rate is $145 / year ($12.09 / month). I'm using Zehr, underwritten by RSA.
You, my friend, are over-paying for collector car insurance. I was with Lant / Silver Wheels ... did some shopping around about 3 years ago and found better rates.lgb240

Well, there are a couple other things working my way as well, including a perfectly clean driving record as well as the fact I have been a customer of theirs for 15 years.I have Geico as well and was curious about getting a full coverage valuation. Was that tough to do?
I'm at $41 a month (including $5 monthly fee for paying monthly, not by 6 month increments) I have quite the record.
I didn't have much issue, but I had all the added value items with receipts. Basically all my Is dotted and Ts crossed. Added maybe five minutes to their 15 minute claim in their ads.
Could be different just shopping around. I've yet to find anyone close to Geico, and the best thing is I get a human with no wait time every time I call em up.
I really think the biggest reason my rate is so low is my location in Wyoming. Something like 92% of accidents are either animal hits or single car crashes here, so they don't really put up much of a fight given the odds are so low I will have a claim.Back to my roots

I had an appraisal in hand, but it wasn't necessary... they just wanted pictures. I made them take it as it lists all the modifications to the car - for transparency (mainly wheels and suspension work).
I forget what the km allotment is ... it's irrelevant because they never checked, nor have they ever asked.lgb240
