This has nothing to do with the other driver. Is suing her going to revoke her license? No. I am all for getting people like that off the roads, but a lawsuit isn't gonna do it.

OP, along with a few other people, just don't seem to understand... it has nothing to do with the other driver doing something wrong. She clearly did. The problem here is that this country is filled with a bunch of entitled assholes. People who want something for nothing. In the first post, OP clearly stated has was going to sue just for the profit of buying another e30. Now I know he didn't do that, and props to him for doing the right thing in the end. But at first, he just came off as an entitled douchebag and still continues to in his subsequent posts.

I don't think you understand the concept of a lawsuit. Were you hurt physically? No, not really. Were you hurt emotionally? No. Were any of your possessions taken? No. Why Would you need retribution. I can understand wanting to sue if she had broken your leg to cover things like medical bills and to compensate for the fact that you cant do shit for the next few months. But you had a few scrapes and maybe some cut up pants. The only thing she owes you is a few bandaids and a new pair of pants.

And you are one of the reason she is still behind the wheel. She probably bought her way out by settling out of court on multiple occasions. If wasn't so, her license would be suspended by now. You got lucky this time but someone else might not be so.

OK guys lol let's clear some confusion:

1. I made this thread out of complete anger after walking into my office totally bloodied. I was hot headed, I wanted to kill this woman. Witnesses, my colleages, the cop who showed up all said "ID SUE THE F out of her!"

2. I asked your guys opinion, some agree, some didn't, the ones who didn't convinced me that yes scrapes and bruises is kinda a bitch move.

3. Not even 1 hour later, my lawyer had contacted the lady, she contacted me, apologized sincerely, and offered to pay for my ripped up clothes and take me and my colleagues to StoneFireGrill.

4. The reason I didn't take the bribe the moment she hit me is obvious.... I WAS PISSED. Besides it looks bad taking money from someone when your boss/colleagues is watching you.

5. Of course I'm gonna explore every legal option the moment a car hits me. That's the smartest thing to do. I'm not sue happy. I just cover my bases. What happens if the lady sues me for the hood damage? What happens if this limp doesn't go away? Yes guys she hit me hard. I didn't jump CLEAR over the hood, my ankles and knees hit the nose of the car.

6. Happy ending . I don't have to go I court, she doesn't have to go to court, my lawyer doesn't charge me 40% for my winnable claim, done deal.
