Yeah, it could be a fun little project to clean it up and get it running again. Do some reading on safety first of course. The capacitors for example, can store a painful or lethal charge for days. It doesn't sound like the unit has been plugged in for some time though, so you are probably ok!

I'm restoring a Dynaco ST70 tube amp and am enjoying the process and am learning a lot as well.

Here's my inspiration. I want to copper plate the chassis eventually.

Record players are mono. You will be fine to use this with one speaker. If they have a stereo output it's simply split mono so you could use one side of the signal without losing any of the song. Looks like it's a single RCA input so you will be able to plug almost anything mono into it with an adapter. Would be cool to hear how it sounds. I have a basement full of crap like this too

        Most record players are stereo.

            Hm I stand corrected.

If you get it working and want it recorded I can do that  I've got a 16ohm 4x12 cab and vintage fender reverb unit that would prob sound cool with that thing cranked

Someone using a 117VAC tube amp in their 12VDC car and record players are mono. I'm learning all sorts of stuff today.

Not sure what I was thinking with that comment saying they all were. They're obviously weren't.. However, you do know that mono record players exist, right?

And do you ever have a good contribution to a conversation?

Just exactly what type of "contribution" can be made in the off-topic forum? Why don't you take a look in the real forums.

That makes no sense it's a conversation

And in the "real forums" I just see a lot of you being annoying

I suppose sarcastic comments like this are better?

But it's OK, I accept your hate because some of you really need to hear the type of stuff I've been saying.

Wow! I can tell you've mastered the use of sarcasm.

^ That's a sarcastic comment. My first post was very literal. A question was asked, an answer was given. Some might say the question was poor, some might say it was taken too literal by the responder. Either way it wasn't sarcastic.

Actually this would be perfect for a guitar amplifier I have converted mono block tube amps into guitar amplifiers which is what a lot of people do with these.
By the way what is the brand and model ??

here is my 1950's Italian geloso mono block tube amp with my 1983 fender Strat

Exactly what I was saying. I was looking for an organ amplifier a while back because I was obsessed with Boston's lead guiatrist's sound.
