Yeah, it could be a fun little project to clean it up and get it running again. Do some reading on safety first of course. The capacitors for example, can store a painful or lethal charge for days. It doesn't sound like the unit has been plugged in for some time though, so you are probably ok!

To the op, as he said, you definitely need to respect the voltage these things store up. It is serious business when dealing with vacuum tubes.
