Slenderman costume for halloween - bad taste or OK?

Sup bros, so I've been browsing the web for cheap, easy cop-out halloween costumes today. Found myself on a japanese bodysuit zentai website looking for greenman costumes and found a slenderman one (for almost double the price). Then I realized I could just get a whiteman suit for the same price as green and wear my two piece over it, nice & easy yes? B~u~t~~

During my google search for "DIY slenderman costume" I came across a few articles about those kids that stabbed their friend for slenderman... almost forgot about that. It'll be almost five months since that shit happened come halloween... so is this a bad call or not?

FWIW it's not like I'm taking kids trick-r-treating or something and'll piss off some moms - I'm going to an adult's halloween party. I don't think the people that'll be there have kids or anything and they're not "super sensitive", but who knows... trying to figure out the general consensus.

People wear costumes for Halloween that are in bad taste all the time, stuff way worse than an fictional character that embodies mortal fear. IMO, Slenderman is a pretty good one, if executed well. If people take shit too serious and get offended that's not on you.

I would say take a cardboard box 30in length, 20in width (depending on your girth) and about 10in tall. Paint it any color you wish, put four mirrored circles on the front like so> OO OO Put two kidkneys in the center of them and be an E30 for Halloween. If you don't do it you're not an E30-ist....
