    vintage vans - good idea?

I'm looking for a van for hauling band crap, motors, parts of other cars, doing Lemons support, maybe towing lightweight single-car trailers, and ideally fitting into my tiny-ass garage so that it doesn't get broken into by homeless people.

Is something like this a good idea? It is a pre-smog first gen econoline.

My uncle had the same van and told me those same stories. We also owned an 80's econline with a fold out bed and mini fridge. Lots of debauchery going on in that thing. You can't escape it.

If shag is not your thing, I've seen astroturf being used. In all seriousness, I'm thinking about something similar, like vw van if I can fit a tag kart in there.

isn't astroturf even worse for rug burn though? on the positive side, you can park on a hill and wash it out with a hose.

What about a truck? Seems like it would do all of things you need a van for.

You have to make the distinction between parts haulers and rape vans.

Nigel from engineeredtoslide bought a nifty one on his US tour, some interesting stories about driving one cross country before boating it to upside-down land.
