I'll come out and say it. Frank Ocean introduced me to e30s.

EDIT: This thread turned into the YouTube commen sections of a metal music. We get it, our taste in music sucks and yours doesn't. If your favorite artist was so great they wouldn't need you to sell them, people would just like them.

Something tells me he isn't sending oil samples from his s65 to blackstone or pondering the "preventative" rod bearing refresh......

Cliffs: Concert promoter is giving away E30. A bunch of people have a bunch of worthless opinions they think are really important about music. Amiright?

Funny, this guy has something to do with Golf Wang, I only know what Golf Wang is because someone wrote it in the dirt on my car when I left it parked on the street for a week in LA years ago.

I've tried to get into hip hop over the years but failed, these guys seem like the type of hip hop I could support though, no thug shit. Gonna listen to this Frank Ocean too since you guys keep mentioning him, I need to do better at keeping up with the world outside my musical bubble.

            horrid.

clear your throat, your sound is fake. Telling off the entire nation and gloating on how sensational you've become by the age of 18 is.....cute?

I could go on and on and on and on and on.

Music beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder, however this blatant disrespect for the true hiphop godfathers with an army of scene fed and fueled label whores is something that's just going to spearhead the hipster/lookatme nation furthermore

            it's sad.

So grab your ankles kid. This is my opinion, and I suggest you bite the pillow, because I'm going in dry with it."

And before you try to come back with some horseshit about what a clueless young whipper-snapper I am, I'm 34, and while I cut my teeth on most of the "Tower Records" favorites you Googled/listed in an attempt to make it sound like you know something about hip hop, I'm also a huge fan of Tyler, and most of Odd Future.

For the record, you sound more like a hipster than any of the so-called ones you're so scared of losing the integrity of your beloved godfathers of hip hop to. Learn to accept the fact that music evolves, and is constantly changing. When you forget that, you turn into one of the "GET THE FUCK OFF MY LAWN" assholes you're coming off as.

            This should sum it up:

I like Tyler. And Frank Ocean. And Earl Sweatshirt. And Domo Genesis. And pretty much everything Odd Future related.

I like 90s hip hop too. Tribe and De La are two of my favorite groups ever, period, in any genre. Big fan of Mos Def and Talib Kweli, solo and together.

Oh and Run The Jewels 2 is straight fire. Go DL that shit right now.

              But...

Other than the FLOG badge, I don't like that car. It's dope they're giving it away, but it's kinda trash. But I'm sure they know that. And I'm sure it was done as cheap. But it's free-ninety-nine, so it's kinda hard to complain, right?

This is him right now: "I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too."

I think most would agree the Golden Era of hip hop was the best, hence the title. It was about conscious rap that not only told stories but dropped knowledge and confronted issues. It's not about new vs old or being relevant or popular...it's about good music. Good music is timeless . Kool Keith/Dr Octagon, Biz Markie, MF Doom, etc clowned around and had eccentric styles but at the core they still had clever metaphors and similes. They didn't start out that way. They reinvented themselves over time.

Tyler couldn't give me that car and I wouldn't want to touch it. He's queer folk and such and more queer than most other e30 folk and such /hick. His music will be timeless in a way that we'll all be laughing later for why we ever considered him being talented.
