    Why?

Why do people feel the need to key other peoples cars? I walk out to my car after class today and there's a huge key mark from behind the passenger door to above the rear wheel arch (about a foot and a half or so). I wasn't parked like a douche or anything, I was centered in my spot and I parked far out enough to where other people coming down the row could see it, so they don't think that it's an open spot. What prompted some asshat to key it? Someone has something nicer than you, so your response is to vandalize it and ruin it? It's infantile. People piss me off with this kind of crap. Someone has worked hard to earn what they have and you decide to mess it up? What has this world come to? Where people think it's ok to vandalize other peoples property for no apparent reason?

    Rant over.

P.S. Didn't know where to post this, so it's going in the off topic section, mods can move it where they think.

I keyed "Respect my paint" into my C pillar, give that a try, seems to be working out for me so far!

                  Serious time:

I used to have a minty 325es and got keyed twice for no reason at all, people that key a car need to get curb stomped History X style.

                    Why?

I mean, my paint isn't perfect, A couple rock chips and scratches here and there, but still.. It's a matter of respect. But I guess that's the difference between car people and non car people. If a car person has an issue with someone else, they don't take it out on their car, just a respect thing. Granted, non-infantile's should do the same thing, but that's what our world has come to.

only new car i ever bought ('98 GTI-VR6 DE) got keyed all the way down the side before it had 100 miles on it.

my current car got keyed all the way across the hood while i was at college. given that i went through iraq to build it, yeah, there'd have been bodily harm if i caught them.

people just don't like it when you have nicer things than they do.

I see this popping up a lot lately. I know personally, I have a rather large dent in my driver door "randomly". You can see the knuckle marks, someone unloaded one on it, lol.

Maybe someone doesn't like my driving?
