anyone else catch the email from GRM about a 99$ ten year subscription? Been pondering on that one all week.
Is that offer still valid? I remember hearing about it but never jumped at the deal.....I figured it was a limited time offer thing to drum up some subscription revenue.

When I was pulling into Watkins Glen last september i just get in the gates and up the hill. some guy comes RUNNING out to my car SCREAMING! I thought i ran over a baby or something! he yells:
"WHERE DID YOU GET THAT CAR??!!!"
lol. he was from grassroots motorsports. I was thinking "cool, it's nice to be appreciated."
then I got that like 20 more times before the weekend was over. it got old fast.

I never subscribed to ECM, but I used to buy it all the time. Then it just started sucking. The cars they feature our not enthusiasts cars but $100,000 bling. Might as well read Dupont registry. I guess I dont find it that amazing that someone bought a $90,000 Benz and put 50k into mods and it has 600hp. Id rather have my E30 and E24 than that anyday. My .02
Summer '85 E24 635csi Winter '88 E30 325iX, I lose 25% of my hp before I even turn the key.
I also have a subscription to Sport Compact Car but a lot of the well known editors are dropping like flies. At least its slowly starting to get bigger like it was back in the day so I'll keep the subscription to see how much it improves this year.
My dad has a subscription to Roundel so I'll read the issues he gets every now and then. I flipped through it one time and found an article on what part usually goes bad on the E30 odometers. Funny thing is that mine had stopped working a few weeks prior to that so that was a nice little coincidence.
