    F1 on CBS this weekend

So I was checking Speed TV and noticed this weekend's Spanish GP is not covered. First thought: not good. So I check the program schedule for my local CBS affiliate and sure enough they are covering it. I am expecting this to be a serious butcher job on part of the producer since they have only allowed a 90 minute window to cover the race. This will be worse than the Imola race :-(

I'll probably watch it anyway, but I will tune in to Speed next weekend when they re-air the same race with the usual cast of characters.

90 minutes?!?!?! WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY CUTTING IT UP FOR!!!! god dammit, i hate that fuckn channel. Id rather not see F1 become popular in America for just that reason.

bill brings up a good point, I find every single one of those other races much more entertaining than F1. Hell I like NASCAR more than F1 on tv

Keep in mind those programs, less NastyCAR, are already chopped up for your viewing pleasure. Notice how the 24 hours at ______ are never shown in full? Why? Cause they are boring to someone here or someone there. I find [as well as BILLIONS of others around the world] the best racing series if not sport in the world is Formula One. Keep in mind, it has the largest following by far of any kind of sprot world wide.

            EDIT: cant spell tonight

I was debating with my old man whether F1 was more popular than soccer...tough call.

                  Same old, same old...

So what's new with CBS - the Spanish GP. American networks go with the likes of Monaco and that parade at Indy and that's about it. I wrote a rant and rave about this on my short lived blog.

Uh, Bill, that is not all for this weekend. Not sure how you forgot the Champ Car World Series Houston Grand Prix at 8PM live on Speed Saturday night...

And of course there is that other open wheel 'league' that has pole day qualifiying Saturday for their biggest race of the year-the Mindy 497.5-but then again, I can forgive you for leaving that one out!
