I said screw work and called in today. I actually had a good time with my family. I haven't spent a holiday like this with my family in a long time and it sure does feel good. I need a new job. I remember when my job used to be closed on Thanksgiving and Xmas but now they're open. Greedy bastards!

Agreed. Those in the service industry who get tips can make a real killing on holidays, but the poor schmuck at Target making $7.25/hr who was told "show up or get fired"? I don't think that's cool at all. Thanksgiving is about family, not spending money.
