    either the officer hammered it off the line to achieve that kind of damage, OR....

    eyes simply were not pointed in the direction of travel...ie: distracted by mobile device/onboard PC.


    If this was anyone else, I can assure you there wouldn't be a "possible" $85 fine and "possible" 2 demerit point.

    it'd be the EXPECTED $400 careless driving fine, followed by 6 demerit points.

    The officer is getting off easy.

    that's more than just a "tap"....IMO that's full on distracted driving at a descent speed...

    A member of the Wellington County OPP has been charged in connection with a crash between his cruiser and a school bus in Fergus.
