        I lol'd.

Back on topic, being that my car wouldn't pass NC inspection due to not having a cat I generally tried to avoid cops if possible. Even though there was no cat the car wasn't much if any louder than stock at low revs. One day a while back I went to the bank used one of the drive through lanes, but there was a cop already in line so I pulled in 2 lanes over. With no A/C I had the windows down and the cop says to me "Hey, is than an S52?" At this point I was caught very much off guard, partly because I wasn't expecting conversation and partly because of the opener. We speak briefly then he asks to pull into the parking lot to continue the discussion. Really cool guy, and it turns out he's an e30 guy and used to crew for an e30 race team. We talked for 10 minutes or so about cars and racing, then parted ways.

yeeee! I'm surprised some cops got into being a cop as a second career. Wouldn't be so bad.

Honestly I dont' care for them.

Not in a bad way but not in a good way either. They've never really helped me out except for giving me tickets when going slightly over the limit 10-15kph. Esp when living in SK or Alberta they were all over me like shit to a wool blanket.

My immediate family on the other hand...they never did so well, probably because of the crap they were involved in.

Funny, where I live now in Vancouver, my morning commute includes driving at speeds over 20 or even 30 kph at times and nobody blinks an eye. Heck, this is the longest i've gone in my life without getting a speeding ticket. Everyone does it on my mornign commute and the cops don't seem to care. I guess they so that just to keep the flow of traffic moving in a smooth and efficient manner considering the heavy congestion.

So I guess in that way, that's cool of them
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

                Stay in highschool.

I just remember old timers telling me about asking cops for rides home because they were too drunk. I feel like you do that now and you'll just get thrown in a drunk tank and get fined a bunch of money. To serve and protect has turned into to serve you and collect unless, as many of you mentioned, you have a family member or friend who is a cop. That's not bashing, just an obvious shift in the mentality. I can also see animosity over cops who are going 90 on 65mph freeways without their lights on and then catch any of us going 71. They aren't above the law either and the coolest ones I've met know it and own it.

Revved at a Ferrari(one like Magnum PI drove), then about a mile down the road a silver Explorer pulled me over. Cop told me I didn't signal, went into the furthest lane, and accelerated to fast. Slap on the wrist. All of my brothers are police officers, two I get along great with, the other one not so much.
