Saw it last night, and I have to say, I actually was pretty impressed. Visually, it was really good, but the writing was crap. X2 is definitely still my favorite of the 3. Some of the scenes were really good, such as the near-end scene with Logan and Jean Grey, and the battle between Professor X and Jean. There were a few things that bothered me though, like when Magneto swings the Golden Gate bridge over to Alcatraz, and sets it down, it's mid-afternoon. They cut back to Magneto and the Brotherhood moving in on Alcatraz, and all of a sudden, it's pitch dark outside. That, and the fact that it follwed very little of the actual X-Men story, but I digress. I hate people that pick apart movies until there's nothing left, so I'll say it was very entertaining, and I enjoyed it.

Apparently, I'm not the only one that noticed it:

              Goofs for
              X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)

Continuity: Magneto moves the bridge to Alcatraz during broad daylight, but when his army invades the base mere minutes later, it's the dead of night.

just was it. i was very very disapointed and thought it was the worst ending to a movie untill the last 3 seconds.

I really liked it overall, it's just that it was VERY evident of the director change, and it suffered because of it.

I about died laughing when Vinnie Jones busted out the Juggernaut line. Too bad there wasn't more of him, Vinnie is a badass.

                          Watched it yesterday.

I was deprived of comics as a kid, so it was merely curiousity. I liked it, even though the "cure" seems to be temporary, which is an all too commonly used plot twist.

Yeah, I noticed that myself, at the end.

So I guess this wasn't the last stand then really, my friends say that in the comics or cartoons (can't remember which) that they go into space...... X-Men 4 it's outta this world.
