Check out http://wizardofodds.com/blackjack to find a basic strategy guide for blackjack.
My recommendation is to stay away from 6:5 blackjack and Super Fun 21. These are played with one deck, however, the house edge is HUGE in comparison to most all other blackjack games in LV.
I liked the Palms, they had a good game there and the casino itself was really nice. I guess it also helped that I won money there. I also accidentally hit a 17 and got a four. :) I made a stay hand motion and I got a card anyway. :)
Where'd ya play?

I love Blackjack....can't stand Texas Hold 'Em (I always seem to loose with the latter). I was in Vegas last Sept. for my brother's bachelor party - stayed & played at the Palms mostly. I played several hands of Blackjack while there and was breaking even most of the time then started loosing. I walked from the table before loosing too much.....at least I got a few rum & cokes out of them while there ;-)
I can't remember which casino it was located in, but I went to the club "Pure" one night while there. The place was jam-packed and tons of gorgeous women. Plenty of that action at the Palms too. Hugh Heff was building an ajoining tower to the Palms....is that finished yet? If so, I can only imagine the eye candy factor now.

NY NY is pretty cool, it's in a good area of the Strip.
If you want cheap games, ya gotta go Downtown. I hear the Fremont St. Experience got refurbished a year or two ago.
Man there's so much shit to do in LV besides the gambling. That's what makes it so great!
