    Check out some of the Rotary boat engines.....

    Also, dad had two 1979 Mazda Cosmos....consecutive serial numbers. Wish he'd kept them....I'd love to have it.

    The pre-mix thing isn't necessary unless the oil metering pump has been deleted though. I daily drove all my 7's (including the FD) and gas isn't much worse than my e30. I got 25 mpg out of the FD to a from Tucson once.

    I looked at a few of them before I settled on an E30, and was really interested for a while. Don't like the sound of 2-rotors though, or the premix ritual, or the horrendous gas mileage. FBs are some beautiful cars though and I could see myself buying one as a toy some day, just not as regular driver...
