Unless you are getting some crazy deal, seems like a waste of money.

I am not a fan of a lease.

At the end, you won't have much. If you keep the E30... you will have the E30.

        Worst idea ever.

Selling a car to lease one is basically selling your house so you can rent a nice condo. In the end, it's not yours.

I am currently making that same mistake and I can't tell you how often I regret it. Keep your car and tell your wife to deal with it. My wife drives manual transmission. Why can't yours?

Over $12k off msrp and w/ residuals on 3-series the highest BMW has ever published monthly payment comes out to $450/ month for 36 months on lease.
Pretty insane for a $66k car.

So basically $16,200 for the privilege of driving that car for 3 years. I'd spend the $16,200 on something I could keep.

Oh I know. That is a solid deal for a lease, don't get me wrong. I used to work at a BMW dealer. But in the end, you'll have to turn it back in with nothing to drive home. Leasing is great if you never want to worry about out of warranty issues and want to have newer vehicles (who doesn't?).

Yes, but 3 years driving the "Ultimate Driving Machine" that I could not otherwise afford.

I realize I am arguing for it, but only to try and see all sides of the coin.

Keep the e30, make monthly payments to yourself for $450, take that money in 3 years, and buy something cash or go on a crazy nice vaca with wife

Take the s55 and put it in the e30

I feel the e30 is always going to be more fun to drive while the f80 is going to be great to pick up chick's and impress people with your great wealth
But seriously you already have a wife so keep the e30 no more girls left for you to impress
