Over here in western MA we got all sorts of awesome radio on the FM. And as a teen i get flamed for my tastes when friends are in the car... haha good thing the cassette player's broken.
        So:

94.7 WMAS: Super strong broadcast you can get this station like halfway into CT it's crazy. mix of modern pop, but weeknights they do 80's at 8 so I'm always on that.

88.9 WJMJ: it's branded a catholic radio station, but the only time i've ever heard any gospel or christian rock is on sunday. Weekdays they play just about everything from 1940-1990 and that's awesome. one minute you got sinatra, the next, duran duran. but nothing beats their oldies rock in the summertime. beach boys and four seasons FTW

88.5: NPR out of springfield MA, usually good. I miss car talk and the news is usually kind of extra-bias, but hey that's how it is everywhere. I don't usually listen to the classical, but if i'm in the mood, the metropolitan opera broadcasts kick ass. also 'jazz a la mode' weeknights at 6:30... love it. bob ellis, nat king cole... gimme gimme

92.5: Great country music, doesnt come in so well where i usually am.

100.9: best country music station. i think they're on iheart radio as well. listen to only this while working on the car usually. they also broadcast nascar events as well, which i like.

102.1: meh, okay classic rock station, kind of generic really, but still okay. Bax and O'brien in the morning are funny as shit.

102.9 DRC: Excellent classic station, out of hartford i think, everything from 60's-80's. a decent mix.

and thats about it... not much on AM except 560 is howie carr and baseball.

I like Ministry of Sound Radio at home and Rinse.FM is great too. I used to like the dubstep sound but Im a house junkie now - and dont see that changing soon. I want to check out your work Vincent!
Jesus fuck!!!! That sounds terrible! I would rather punch myself in the balls, smash my own face in with a brick, and have some homo take a shit in my mouth. I didn't think anyone actuallly listened to that unless they were trying to get laid in a club by cheesy drunk chicks. to each his own, i guess. you are certainly entitled to your opinion.

Sirius/Xm is good enough for me. Classic rock stations, jimmy buffet radio, and classic alternative.

dubstep is the new "cool" genre for young douche canoes

its really killing the good electronic music because you will be listening to some old moby or kraftwerk and get some kid saying "whens the Drop?!?!?!?!?!"

i have 2 stations on the radio i get that are in English: 92.5 the bear from Modesto, or 95.7 the hawk. the rest is generic country music (not english, its southern yodelling) which i loathe, and Mexican stations. gotta love the central valley! the rest of the time its songza, or whatever i have on my ipod at the time.

I dont care for EDM top 40 but I prefer it mostly to classic rock songs that everyone has heard a zillion times

This thread is really cool, lets hear some of people's favorite radio shows. ANy really interesting ones? 90.3 KEXP has a rockabilly radio show that is pretty funny hahaha (its weird hearing that genre anywhere but live IMO)
